I have a huge favor to ask...
I'm sorry that this isn't really MAC related but it's kinda makeup related and I didn't know where else to ask! You girls are always super helpful, and I'm really in need of help, haha :) Long story short: I'm from Denmark but am thinking about moving to Canada. Before I do so, I need a job. Someone I know knows someone who has a spa/salon where I might be able to get a job as a makeup artist. To get this job, I need to write a resume. Now, the resume is my problem! I'm super nervous that I'm not doing it right(I mean... I'm not sure if there's a difference between the way we write resumes in Denmark and the way you would do it over there?) and that it's full of misspellings and whatnot. SO, the favor... Would anyone be interested in reviewing my resume and give me CC on it? I really need an honest opinion from someone who knows what does and does not look good/professional in a resume. I'm nervous and I need my resume done asap :/ |

this is OT but we all use paypal for our sales, so it is in a way on topic I havnt seen this posted yet, I just wanted to let you know that google chrome is not compatible with paypal's print at home postage system. It took me 3 days to figure this out with paypal and just kept having my postage print our with the big SAMPLE written on it It sucks because of there 24 hour only policy to reprint labels, you are screwed if you dont call them before that, so in case anyone is having/had his problem hope it helps just switch over to firefox or IE to print your postage. sorry that it is OT |

The Ace of Spades.
It was one of my best friends' 18th birthday last Sunday, and she refused to have a party or do anything to celebrate it, in some part thanks to the fact that it was in the middle of our university's exam week. Yuck. So I took the responsibility upon myself to bake a cake and take it to last night's post-exams party of the uni Pantomime Society*. It was my first real attempt at decorating a cake. I cheated and used packet mixes for the cake (vanilla on the bottom, chocolate on top, with vanilla icing in the middle). I don't know any fancy icing techniques, so I just used what was in the box, adding more icing sugar to the vanilla to make it whiter, and less butter to the chocolate to make it darker (I also put extra vanilla essence and some All-Spice into the vanilla icing, but I don't think you could taste it). The writing is in melted white chocolate with pink food dye :P. ( Cake! )*Pantomime is different to mime. Hey guys, I was thinking of getting this but Im not sure what size to get. I pretty much like pullovers to be slight baggy but not too much, plus I don't like them being too short either. I'm 5'3" and 105lbs (162, 48) So should I get S or M? Im afraid M might be too baggy on me, and I live outside of the US so it wont be convenient for me to have an exchange. If theres anyone out there with this, is it okay if you give me the measurements? Thank you! |

Suggestions for mattifying product?
Does anyone have a product that they would recommend? Or anything they have tried that was awful? I'm trying to find a mattifying lotion and can't seem to find a good one; I've tried clinique, MAC, and body shop with limited success... Thanks in advance for suggestions! |

Swap MAC for Lip Venom V Brush?
This is a really weird question - but is there anyone willing to sell me a Lip Venom V (Twilight) with a brush in any condition? I really only need the cap/brush, but I'll buy the whole used bottle if I have to. (It's the black cap) I'm willing to trade some MAC for it, or CP something, or buy it. The tester that I tried (and that worked beautifully) had a brush, but the one I bought has a doefoot applicator that doesn't do anything but suck up all the stain in the bottle and applies none of the clear gloss. :/ I can't find any reference to that gloss coming with a doefoot, but that's all my Sephora has - except for the tester. Has anyone tried or bought this gloss? Did yours come with a doefoot? I've tried switching out an old cap/brush from a regular Lip Venom, and although it works for application, it doesn't close right and gets leaky. Current Mood:  annoyed |
